Antidumping Investigation on Glass Mirrors from China
Today, May 21st, 2026, the Ministry of Economy published the notice of initiation of the antidumping investigation concerning glass mirrors from China in the Official Gazette of the Federation. In this post, we share with you the main details of this proceeding:
Petitioner
Vidrio Plano de México, S.A. de C.V. and Productora y Distribuidora de Espejos, S.A. de C.V. are the domestic producers in Mexico and requested the antidumping investigation
Investigated Product
Frameless glass mirrors, in sheets or slabs, unprocessed or cut-to-size – basic mirror sheets with sharp edges and high fragility – regardless of thickness.
Mexican Tariff Item
Glass mirrors enter under tariff item 7009.91.99 of the Mexican HTS. of the Mexican Tariff of the General Import and Export Tax Law (TIGIE).
Normal Value Determination
The Ministry determined the normal value using domestic price references in China.
Period of Investigation (Dumping)
October 1st , 2024 to September 30th, 2025
Period of Analysis (Injury)
October 1st, 2022 to September 30th, 2025.
Deadline to Participate
The deadline for submitting the exporter’s questionnaire is June 30th, 2026, although a deadline extension may be requested
