Mr. Emilio Arteaga Vázquez was promoted as a local partner in March 2019 after five years in the firm. Our local partner is actively involved in the US-Mexico Bar Asociation and the International Bar Association, as well as the Doing Business Mexico platform and the podcast "Precedentes y Negocios".

Experience

Mr. Arteaga advises and supports companies, both national and foreign, in matters relating to international trade, market access, free trade agreements, incorporation of companies, and commercial contracts.

Trade Remedies (Antidumping)

Mr. Arteaga advises and represents industries and companies in trade remedies proceedings, such as anti-dumping, subsidies, or safeguards, carried out by the International Commercial Practices Unit (UPCI) of the Ministry of the Economy. Also, our local partner advises and assists Mexican companies in trade remedy investigations abroad.

International Trade and Dispute Resolution

Our local partner advises companies, national and foreign, on issues related to FTA's rules of origin, verifications of origin, market access, regulations, and non-tariff restrictions. Also, Emilio Arteaga represents and defends companies against trade and customs authorities in Mexican courts, such as administrative-legal challenges and amparos.
