VTZ Top Ranked in Chambers and Partners 2025

In VTZ, we are pleased to announce that the international lawyers and law firm ranking of Chambers and Partners recognized our team as a leading law firm by ranking us Band 1. In this article, we share with you the highlights of the ranking for 2025.

Top Ranked Law Firm in International Trade

For more than fifteen years, VTZ has been ranked by Chambers and Partners. In particular, the ranking has recognized our team as a top-ranked law firm in International Trade and WTO Law in Latin America. In this year’s edition, this ranking described the law firm as follows:

Outstanding lawyers: Adrián Vázquez and Eduardo Zepeda

This year, Chambers and Partners acknowledge the outstanding work and experience in International Trade of two of our main lawyers: Adrián Vázquez and Eduardo Zepeda. Particularly, the ranking focused on the expertise, practice, and client service from our partners.

To begin with, our managing partner, Adrián Vázquez, was recognized by Chambers and Partners as a Band 1 lawyer. In particular, Adrián leads VTZ’s international trade and customs practice. His experience includes, among other things, advising in antidumping and subsidies investigations, origin verification procedures, and consultancy on the impact of free trade agreements for imports and exports in Mexico.

Eduardo Zepeda

Similarly, Eduardo Zepeda was recognized as a Band 4 lawyer. Eduardo is VTZ’s leading partner in IMMEX matters. He was described as proactive lawyer in maquiladora matters in Mexico. And the interviewed clients also mentioned that they constantly seek for his advice in connection with customs and IMMEX compliance.

Up-and-Coming Lawyers: Emilio Arteaga and Ivan Szymanski

Chambers and Partners also acknowledge the talent and hard work from some of other partners. Specifically, the ranking included Emilio Arteaga and Ivan Szymanski as Up-and-coming lawyers. This category is reserved for outstanding professionals that Chambers and Partners considers important to keep on their watch for their dedication and potential.

In the ranking interviews, Emilio’s clients highlighted his service and responsiveness as some of his main strengths.

On the other hand, our partner, Ivan Szymanski, was also recognized as an Up-and-coming attorney in Antitrust Law. Specifically, our partner’s appearance in the ranking lays stress on his insights and client service. Ivan’s efforts and expertise in Competition and Antitrust Law extend the range of legal services and advice provided by our law firm.
