Vázquez Tercero & Zepeda (VTZ) announces a new phase of institutional growth through the strategic expansion of its award-winning International Trade and Customs team, as well as the strengthening of its Corporate, Venture Capital, Banking & Finance practices. This move responds to the increasing demand for comprehensive legal advice in transactions that combine financial structuring, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.

The Monterrey office reinforces its structure with the growth of the team led by Carolina Zárate González, further consolidating the International Trade and Customs practice with a focus on preventive compliance, strategic audits, and technical defense.
Corporate and Venture Capital
Within the corporate and transactional area, Adela Lozano, Counsel of the firm, continues to strengthen the M&A and Venture Capital practice. She advises domestic and international companies in acquisition processes, divestitures, corporate restructurings, and investment agreements, participating in the negotiation of share and asset purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, and legal due diligence processes, with a technical and results-oriented approach.
Banking and Finance
Víctor Cancino joins the firm as Partner in the Banking & Finance practice, bringing experience in structured finance, private credit, and private equity.
He has represented Mercado Libre México as borrower in senior revolving credit facilities of USD 250 million with J.P. Morgan and USD 125 million with Goldman Sachs Bank USA. He has also advised institutional investors on commitments exceeding USD 300 million with international funds such as KKR and Blackstone.
His practice includes representing Santander and BBVA in syndicated loans and multi-jurisdictional financing structures. He holds a law degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Master’s degree in Financial Law from the Institute for Law & Finance at Goethe University Frankfurt.
