Oscar Ornelas studied law at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) where he obtained his law degree with honors. Oscar Ornelas has been part of the VTZ team since May 2023. He has been part of the VTZ team since May 2023. Since then, he has participated in more than twenty different cases related to trade remedies procedures.

Professional Experience

Antidumping Investigations

Oscar Ornelas supports the VTZ team in trade remedies proceedings. Specifically, he is in charge of preparing responses to questionnaries and requests for information, as well as the preparation of translations, public and confidential versions in antidumping investigations before the Ministry of Economy.

International Trade and Litigation

Oscar Ornelas also assists companies in researching tariffs, regulations, and non-tariff restrictions. In addition, he is responsible for the drafting of direct amparo, indirect amparo, and administrative litigation lawsuits. In addition, Oscar Ornelas is responsible for drafting amparo appeals. Unlike many lawyers, our young associate can sign and file amparos, promotions, lawsuits and appeals online before Mexican courts.
