El próximo jueves 22 de octubre de 2020, nuestro socio director, Adrián Vázquez, participará en un ciclo de conferencias de Brasil, específicamente, en un panel internacional sobre instrumentos de remedios comerciales (e.g. medidas antidumping y compensatorias) y el interés público.
La Asociación de Comercio Exterior de Brasil – AEB, la Confederación Nacional de la Industria (CNI) y la Federación de Industrias del Estado de Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN) organizarán el taller virtual gratuito la “Estrategia para la inserción de Brasil en el nuevo contexto mundial,” que se llevará a cabo el 22 de octubre de 2020 de las 9:00 a 12:30 horas.
El taller virtual contará con tres paneles, en donde los expertos analizarán las experiencias de los países en el contexto del comercio internacional frente al nuevo escenario internacional. El 2020 está siendo un período de reflexiones y decisiones estratégicas de gobiernos y empresas de todo el mundo para afrontar los efectos económicos y sociales de la crisis internacional derivada de la pandemia COVID-19, lo cual necesariamente impactará en el comercio internacional.
En este taller o ciclo de conferencias, nuestro socio director, Adrián Vázquez, participará en el Panel:
Prácticas y cambios en los instrumentos de defensa comercial e interés público en el actual contexto internacional: Casos de la Unión Europea, Estados Unidos y México, que será de las 9:45 am a las 11:00 am.
Los miembros que integrarán este panel y acompañarán a nuestro socio director serán:
Los panelistas discutirán las estrategias y políticas implementadas en sus respectivos países con la visión de que Brasil implemente las mejores experiencias para salvaguardar su competitividad e inserción internacional ante un escenario donde son cada vez es más común la prácticas de dumping por empresas exportadoras, el apoyo estatal a través de subsidios, y prácticas de no mercado.
El proyecto de mayor inserción de Brasil en la economía mundial, a través de acuerdos internacionales u otros instrumentos de política comercial, además de las necesarias y urgentes reformas estructurales que se deben realizar en los próximos años. Para beneficiarse del proceso de integración internacional, Brasil necesita combinar su agenda de apertura económica con la reducción del reconocido Costo-Brasil, en paralelo con el desarrollo del sistema de defensa comercial basado en el marco legal del Acuerdo General de la Organización Mundial del Comercio (OMC) con miras a garantizar el libre comercio y la competencia leal.
