Listed in the indicative list of governmental and non-governmental panelists who can sit on dispute resolution Panels since March 25th, 2011 (WT/DSB/W/445), Adrián Vázquez was invited to be a panelist for the regional All-American Round of the ELSA WTO Moot Court competition (2016/2017), which was held in the Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) from March 1 to 4, 2017.
The case, Haito – Measures on Balance of Payments, touched upon interesting topics and issues regarding the collision between the multilateral trade regime and regional trade agreements. Our managing partner was impressed by the performance, knowledge, and dedication of the teams.
Mr. Vázquez shared a Panel with a former Appellate Body member, Jennifer Hillman, during the semi-finals of the North American round.
Adrián Vázquez was also a Panelist in the Final of the Latin-American Round.
